Sacrament of Baptism
"Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." – Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213
1st and 3rd Sundays of most months at 12:30pm. Preparation evening must be attended prior to the baptism taking place which is generally conducted on the first Tuesday prior to the Sunday of Baptism.
Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation)
Saturday 10:00am and 5:00pm
First Confession: Friday, 23th March 2018
First Eucharist will be celebrated on the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, Sunday, 3rd June 2018 at 12:00pm and 3:00pm.
Sacrament of Confirmation
The Sacrament of confirmation will be celebrated in 2018 on Wednesday, 5th September 2018 at 7:00pm at St Peter's Parish Church, Clayton.
Sacrament of Matrimony
Contact the parish office 9544 1516 at least six (6) months prior to the wedding. A pamphlet Marriages at St Peter's is available from the parish office. A pre-marriage course must be undertaken before the marriage takes place, which is also a civil requirement. The pamphlet When Two Become One is available at the parish office also.
Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick
By request 9544 1516. As chaplaincy services are limited at some hospitals, it is advisable to receive the Sacrament of Anointing before your admission. Please contact Fr Andrew or Fr Thomas at the parish office.
Arranged in consultation between the family, parish and funeral director. The priest will provide direction in preparing the funeral liturgy, a booklet if needed, and for the Words of Remembrance. Archdiocesan guidelines are to be strictly followed and a copy of this can be found at the website.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Alternate Saturday and Sunday Masses during each term of the academic year. Children’s Liturgy of the Word is not conducted during the term breaks.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
First Fridays after 9:00am Mass. Benediction is also imparted at 12:00pm and at other times advertised in the weekly bulletin.
Stations of the Cross
Friday during Lent at 7:00pm in the Church.
